Cyclones Individual Workouts – Training Example Included

Hello Cyclones Families,

If players have parental approval and a safe set up to use your garage or another safe space, it would be good for players to get in one or more individual baseball training in the next few days.  These can be 30 minutes long with about 10 minutes hitting, 10 minutes throwing, and 10 minutes fitness, only doing what is safe in your space.

Training example:

Equipment: 6-10’ string, wiffle ball, tee, football, medicine ball (or soccer ball)

Set up: use string to tie wiffle ball to base of tee

10 minute hit wiffle ball connected to tee using drills we did this past Sunday

10 minute partner football throw – work on spinning ball and finishing throw

10 minute core workout like the one linked here – do each exercise right, keep heart rate up and challenge yourself.

If you throw any type of ball in the garage or house, have a receiver and set up the area to safeguard and/or adapt the type of ball you are throwing to ensure there is no chance of breaking anything.

Thanks.  Go Cyclones!
