Coach Scott Quincey

Hello and welcome to Pressure Baseball. My name is Scott Quincey, a coach of the Madison Cyclones. This website is being developed for our team, so players and families can find current and past training plans, to help motivate our players and as another way to keep us connected.

I have been organizing friends and teams since I was a kid, and coaching since I was in college, much at the high school level and a growing amount at the youth sports level. I am a middle school teacher. Both teaching and coaching allow me the chance to work with people who love learning, challenging themselves, and making those around them better. I am constantly inspired by those around me.

As I have become friends with Coach Kevin over the past few years through youth baseball, we discovered that along with our shared love of baseball that we also have a very similar coaching philosophy. Kevin calls it Pressure Baseball. We believe with our experience, philosophy, and our work we can provide our players and families a fun and rewarding baseball experience, one that will set them up for future success in high school athletics. With our own sons and families on board, Kevin and I reached out to Coach Dan, a phenomenal coach and teacher, to join us and form a great foundation for our players and team.

We have assembled a great group of players who love baseball, are hungry to improve and compete and have seen great strides made already in the Fall.

Our team families are contributing in so many ways. All are great role models, so encouraging and supportive of all team players. Shane and Nolan have been at almost every practice helping coach. Andy is our team treasurer and has run GameChanger during games. John and Susanna helped livestream our scrimmages. C.J. and Steve have helped coach at many scrimmages and practices. So many family members have talked with us, dropped us emails, and helped us to better understand their players so coaches can personalize instruction and be more helpful. This caring group of families makes the experience great for our players.

We enjoy this time together and look forward to all the great things our players will accomplish both on and off the field as positive leaders in the future.
