Players worked hard at practice today as we start our second week of our Winter training. With continued training, we will get stronger physically and mentally, our bat speed will improve, we will throw with more velocity and accuracy, become better fielders, and better teammates. From the start we knew we gathered great athletes who love the game and love to work to improve. Keep working on your own this week and you will get closer to achieving your goals. Players, try to make each rep count and try to top your Week 1 score.
If you have any questions about how to do any of the weekly training, about how to use the Champion’s Mind app, about how to post on the threads, about the teammate call, or about anything baseball related, please let me know.
A big thank you to so many who have made Winter training possible. Thanks to Coach Z from Edgewood High School who lets us practice in the EHS gym at no cost. Thanks to Coach Newton who loans us the key so we can use the batting cage. Thanks to the EHS maintenance staff who help us get into the building on weekends. Thanks to Coach Kevin, Dan, Shane, and Nolan who show up early to set up equipment and stay late to put it away. Thanks to Cyclones families who keep communicating to help with attendance planning so we can have safe practices that meet PHMDC guidelines of 10 or less players per training. Parents also help with transportation and coordinate at home Cyclones workouts plus tracking points. Because of all of this work, our players are thriving. Thanks to Cyclones players who are respectful of the space and equipment and continue working to improve. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Our Winter training program continues through January and most of February. Go Cyclones!
